Never before has vying for marketplace recognition been more frenetic then in today's business climate. Getting the right products out in a timely way can literally make or break your bottom-line. After designing over 1000 products and working with over 150 companies, we'd liked to believe we've learned a thing or two about creating innovative solutions that help guide our clients to marketplace success. Simply put, it's what we do.
We understand real-world costs, budgets, and targeted manufacturing costs, and what it means to manage programs properly within these constraints. Our designers, engineers, researchers, and human factors experts collaborate utilizing a user-centered process that helps cut through the fuzzy logic and bring focus to the challenges of innovation. Deconstructed, we look for what is viable from a business standpoint, desirable for the user, and technologically feasible, to discover that white space for true innovation and differentiation. Rapid prototyping is also an integral part of our process that helps prove-out ideas for effective market testing and valuable feedback from stakeholders.
Our team has a long history and deep experience working in the medical, healthcare, technology, and consumer industries. To date we have garnered over 60 patents giving testimony to our commitment to excellence and protecting our client's investment. Product council has also won numerous awards for our innovative work that include IDEA [Industrial Design Excellence Awards], ID [International Design], Spark, Consumer Electronic Innovation, Good Design, and Medical Design Excellence Awards.

Every detail considered! Engineering a product for manufacturing takes the expertise and experience of a seasoned team. After developing over 1000 products that range from state-of-the-art medical and laboratory instruments, home healthcare, commercial vacuum cleaners, remote controls, power tools, cookware, and children’s toys to name a few, we’d like to believe we understand what it takes to successfully engineer a product for manufacturing.
At product council, engineering expertise is infused at the onset of every program and throughout to assure a seamless path to production. We advise clients on the appropriate manufacturing process based on yearly volumes and FOB costs. We consider material and finish options, reduction of piece parts, assembly procedures, knock-down, servicing, shipping, packaging, weight, and the environment, to name a few. We also work with clients to assure that regulatory compliance's are met, like ISO 9000.
Whether you are looking for stand-alone services or full blown production engineering from concept to consumer, our team can help. We offer a full range of engineering expertise and tools that simulate and test designs that optimize on performance before production begins.

Analysis is paralysis, or the saying goes. At one point or another, most of us have experienced that “digital meltdown,” struggling to figure out how to use or program a new product, clearly avoiding the 100 page manual accompanying it. After all, this should be intuitive to use, right?
It takes the skill of an experienced UX designer to develop a simple, logical, and engaging product design. In many cases, the safety of lives can depend on it, especially when it comes to reducing operator error. Whether these are medical products, machinery, or phones, the interface of a product needs to be intuitive.
Our goal is to develop semiotic relationships between the technology, and physical aspects of the product, distilling information to simple, usable, intuitive bytes, that eliminate any confusion and noise. Ultimately we strive to connect people to the product and technology in a positive way that forms an emotional bond providing an enjoyable experience.
